Help to promote STEAM literacy by volunteering your time at Discovery

There are many ways to use your skills and expertise to help at the Science Center and make a difference in our community. We are looking for community members age 16 and up to serve as docents and community scientists in our exhibits, as well as assist with some of the following special projects:
Prepare and clean-up classrooms for science demonstrations and activities

Prepare materials for special programming
​
Assist with classes, planetarium shows, Science-on-a-Sphere demonstrations, and live science demonstrations

Please note, all volunteers must complete a mandatory orientation prior to participating in any museum activities, and all long-term volunteers must begin with docent training and experience prior to taking on special projects. Volunteer shifts are 2-4 hours and must be scheduled in advance with our Family Engagement Coordinator.
