Build the membership that's right for you--choose the number of adults and children you expect to bring together each visit. If you select no children for your membership, you will still receive 1 guest per visit (adult or child) with your membership. The minimum membership fee to qualify for ASTC Reciprocal Membership is $100.

All members receive free general admission, access to special presentations (subject to availability), 10% off the Discovery gift shop and Discovery birthday parties, ASTC Passport Program reciprocal benefits, and special members-only hours. Memberships including designated children include discounts on select children's educational programming.

*ASTC Passport Program

Instantly become a member of the ASTC Passport Program and enjoy reciprocal admissions benefits with over 300 museums and science centers nationwide. *Member institutions typically do not waive fees for planetariums, theaters, and special exhibitions unless specified. Sites within a 90-mile radius of the Discovery Museum may be excluded. Please call ahead to any museum you plan to visit for additional details. Visit ASTC.org to learn more about the program, requirements, and exclusions. The ASTC Passport Program does NOT apply to library or community center memberships. A minimum purchase of $100 is required to qualify for ASTC reciprocal visits.

Number of Guests

You can build the membership that's right for your family with a la carte options for the number of adults (1, 2, or 3) and children (up to 4 or up to 8) included. Any adults or children in excess of your selected numbers who visit the Science Center with you are subject to regular general admission and show fees. Membership covers your selected number of adults and UP TO your selected number of children within a household. No refunds or discounts are available for fewer children. Memberships with no designated children do not qualify for discounts on children's programming. Memberships with no designated children include one guest (adult or child) per visit.

Terms & Conditions

Once a membership is purchased, you will receive an email confirming your order. If you ordered a physical card (optional), your card will be processed within 2 weeks. Physical cards or replacement cards are $15 per card. The membership start date is based on the date of your completed purchase and you will have access to digital membership cards within 2 business days. Instructions on how to access and download your digital membership through eMembership/Membership Anywhere will be emailed to you within 2 business days of purchase. If you did not receive an email after completing your membership purchase or have not received your purchased card within 2 weeks, please call us at 203-416-3531.

A portion of the cost of admission may be applied to NEW memberships only. You must have your receipt number or other proof of purchase available to receive a discount on your membership. Admission costs may only be applied within 1 week of your visit. Show/presentation fees may not be applied to the cost of a membership; only admission for the number of guests to be covered by the membership will apply, up to a maximum of two adults and two children ($66 maximum). Discounted membership based on the cost of admission must be requested with proof of purchase.

Qualifying discounts must be used at the time of purchase and may not be applied retroactively. Discounts may not be bundled.

Museum memberships are not considered tax-deductible, as the cost of a membership is based on the Fair Market Value of services included in your membership package. Please speak with an account or tax professional about appropriate contributions that are deductible.

Membership pricing, terms, and included options have changed effective August 31, 2026. If you have an existing membership purchased prior to August 31, 2026, your membership will be honored until its expiration with the number of guests, access level, and add-ons you purchased at the time of registration. Upon renewal, our new pricing, terms, and inclusions will be in effect. Memberships purchased with Basic Access prior to 8/31/2026 are eligible for discounted media passes at the door (subject to availability).

Refund Policy

Memberships are non-refundable. Automatic renewals are not available; it is the responsibility of the member to check their expiration date, read any renewal notices shared with them via email or physical mail, and renew in a timely manner to avoid disruptions in services. Partial refunds for qualifying discounts will not be granted if the discount code was not applied at the time of purchase.
