Discovery Interdistrict Magnet School Discovery Magnet School was founded in 2008 and has since become its own flourishing learning environment. We partner with this neighboring school to host an array of unique enrichment opportunities. Students visit the Science Center frequently, and the Discovery Magnet School is our main site for implementation of Discover NASA, a grant-funded program dedicated to the development and implementation of a rocketry curriculum for K-8 classrooms, and a high school-level extracurricular rocketry club. Directions 4450 Park Avenue, Bridgeport,CT 06604 CLICK HERE FOR DIRECTIONS Located in a scenic section of the North End of Bridgeport, the Discovery Science Center is nestled near Veterans Memorial Park just off the Merritt Parkway. Our location at 4450 Park Avenue is minutes from the main entrance to Sacred Heart University, and just across the street from the Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course. We also share our campus with the Discovery Interdistrict Magnet School, and the Adventure Park at Discovery. Parking Parking is usually available in the lot directly outside the Science Center entrance. On event days, parking is also available in front of Veteran’s Memorial Park, adjacent to the Discovery Magnet School. From I-91 South/CT-15 South Merge onto CT-15 South via Exit 17 toward East Main Street Take Exit 47 to Park Avenue Take the second exit at the roundabout to Park Avenue The Discovery Science Center is about a mile up the road on the left.
