Discovery Interdistrict Magnet School Discovery Magnet School was founded in 2008 and has since become its own flourishing learning environment. We partner with this neighboring school to host an array of unique enrichment opportunities. Students visit the Science Center frequently, and the Discovery Magnet School is our main site for implementation of Discover NASA, a grant-funded program dedicated to the development and implementation of a rocketry curriculum for K-8 classrooms, and a high school-level extracurricular rocketry club. Our location at 4450 Park Avenue is minutes from the main entrance to Sacred Heart University, and just across the street from the Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course. We also share our campus with the Discovery Interdistrict Magnet School, and the Adventure Park at Discovery. Parking Parking is usually available in the lot directly outside the Science Center entrance. On event days, parking is also available in front of Veteran’s Memorial Park, adjacent to the Discovery Magnet School.
