@ Discovery: Space Day & Science On a Sphere
Space Day: In April 2016, we hosted a free day of space-related fun at Discovery, with rocket launches, moon rock and meteorite displays, solar scope viewings, the premier of a new planetarium show, and a preview of Science on a Sphere.
Science On a Sphere: Developed by scientists at NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration), Science On a Sphere opened to the public at the Discovery Museum in April 2016. The exhibit shows on a sphere. The six-foot diameter animated globe displays dynamic, informative video projections of environmental science on Earth, on other planets, and beyond.
