Construction Update 11/3/2021
In our continuing efforts to renovate & reimagine Discovery, our Science at Play gallery is currently closed for construction. We wanted to give thanks to the State of CT and the DECD for making these critical improvements to our facility possible through a bond granted to us in 2019.
Thank you for your understanding as we continue our critical mission to provide STEM for all!
The Science Center offers a variety of amenities to accommodate a full experience. We believe that accessibility to all of Discovery’s exhibits is a key component of facilitating STEAM exploration!
The Discovery Science Center features ADA-compliant accessibility to all of its galleries, including the Henry B. duPont III Planetarium and Energize CT Theater. An elevator to access all 3 levels inside the Science Center, and access ramps outside are available to all guests.
We offer a semi-private room on our main level to serve as a quiet space when needed. Changing stations are located in the restrooms on the Upper and Lower Levels. A new family restroom and sensory center are coming soon!
Certified service animals in uniform are welcome.
We encourage guests to bring a bag lunch and/or snacks! A dining court is available with tables and chairs and a lovely view of the ropes course at The Adventure Park (light snacks and vending machines with soft drinks are available).
We are happy to accommodate additional needs to the best of our abilities. For special requests, please contact Guest Services at 203-416-3523, or contact info@discoverymuseum.org.
