Explore simple animation techniques and learn how light, color, and sound come together to create animated features. Each student will work on a stop-animated short film that they will premiere at the Discovery Academy Awards!

Covid-19 Update 😷

Per the recommendation of the Connecticut Department of Public Health, the Discovery Science Center & Planetarium has a universal mask policy until further notice.

All occupants of indoor public and common areas ages 2 and up, including staff and visitors, are required to wear masks, regardless of vaccination status, until further notice.

We appreciate your cooperation.

In the wake of the public health concerns around COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we have augmented cleaning protocols with a specific focus on areas and surfaces with frequent guest contact. Our employees have been trained on best practices for preventing the spread of germs and viruses. In addition, our employees engage in frequent hand washing and encourage guests to do so as well.
