Coding and Robotics Afterschool Program: MEMBER


Calling all aspiring programmers! Join the Discovery Museum for a new six-week afterschool program for students in 4th-6th grades to learn the basics of coding and robotics.

We will make simple circuits, learn how computers think, create art using code, and more. Come play with our robots, Dash and Dot, and see if you can level up your programming and debugging skills.

Open to students in grades 4, 5, and 6
Program from 4:00-5:15 pm on Tuesdays for a six-week session (September 25 through October 30)
Drop off between 3:30 and 4 pm, and pickup between 5:15 and 5:30 pm

Covid-19 Update 😷

Per the recommendation of the Connecticut Department of Public Health, the Discovery Science Center & Planetarium has a universal mask policy until further notice.

All occupants of indoor public and common areas ages 2 and up, including staff and visitors, are required to wear masks, regardless of vaccination status, until further notice.

We appreciate your cooperation.

In the wake of the public health concerns around COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we have augmented cleaning protocols with a specific focus on areas and surfaces with frequent guest contact. Our employees have been trained on best practices for preventing the spread of germs and viruses. In addition, our employees engage in frequent hand washing and encourage guests to do so as well.
