Admission may be purchased online or at the door. Media passes are available only at the door.

Bring a lunch! Discovery Science Center has a large food court with windows overlooking the Adventure Park at the Discovery Museum ropes course behind our building. We have a vending machines for beverages only. We encourage guests to bring your own snack and/or lunch to enjoy during your visit.

The Discovery Science Center offers a number of discounts to patrons everyday!

  • Present a valid AAA or AARP card to receive $1 off admission for everyone in your party for up to 2 adults and 4 children.
  • Present a valid student or teacher ID (age 18+) to receive a discounted admission.
  • Present a valid drivers license to receive a senior citizen discount.
  • Active military and veterans with ID receive free admission (no purchase needed); military families will receive 50% off regular admission when attending with their family member with ID
    • All military admission discounts must be purchased upon entry–no online tickets available
  • Special needs guests receive discounted admission; accompanying caregivers and paraprofessionals receive free admission (no purchase needed)
  • Children 2 years of age & under  get in free!

Any discounted rate requires appropriate ID on entry.

According to current guidelines, all guests ages 2+ are required to wear masks throughout the duration of their visit.

Online admission sales are non-refundable. Please save and present your online order/order number for entry. You will not receive a physical ticket–your online order number will be required at check-in.

Don’t forget to get a media pass for planetarium and live demonstration admission! Media passes are available at the front desk from 10:00am until 15 minutes prior to the final show of the day. Media passes are NOT available for online purchase.

Covid-19 Update 😷

Per the recommendation of the Connecticut Department of Public Health, the Discovery Science Center & Planetarium has a universal mask policy until further notice.

All occupants of indoor public and common areas ages 2 and up, including staff and visitors, are required to wear masks, regardless of vaccination status, until further notice.

In the wake of the public health concerns around COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we have augmented cleaning protocols with a specific focus on areas and surfaces with frequent guest contact. Our employees have been trained on best practices for preventing the spread of germs and viruses. In addition, our employees engage in frequent hand washing and encourage guests to do so as well.
