Weekend Workshop

Join us for a weekend workshop, with a focus on photography! Learn the fundamentals of how cameras work and what each part does, including:
– three basic camera settings (exposure, aperture, and ISO sensitivity) and how to take control of them on a camera or smartphone
– basic composition
– photo scavenger hunt
– darkroom session with winter-themed photograms (an artwork using photosensitive paper to create shapes and images)
This workshop is ideal for children in grades 6 and up (ages 11+). Maximum of 20 participants. Any young scientists under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult, who will remain with the child for the entire session at no additional cost.
One session will be held at 11:00 am and will run about two hours in length.
Cost is $12.00 for Members and $15.00 for Non-Members per session (this includes one child and one adult)
An All-Access Pass, which includes admission to the Museum and Planetarium, is available for $22.00 for the child only. Adults will have to purchase museum admission separately.
