$25 - $75

Join us for a family-friendly virtual event featuring entertainment and exciting re-opening updates from Discovery and Sacred Heart!

Featuring:

  • A Virtual Planetarium Show with Elliot Severn, our Planetarium and Center Technology Director.
  • DIY Science for young scientists with Sarah Tropp-Pacelli, Director of Education and Strategy.
  • Mixology Science with David Mestre, Project Manager for Informal STEM Education.

Join us on Zoom for a virtual fundraiser including special messages from Discovery and Sacred Heart, along with awards and a paddle raise to benefit STEM learning.

With a new management agreement in place, Sacred Heart University has generously taken over the operations of the Museum, from facilities and maintenance, to IT and technology, programming and beyond. Under this new management, the museum will not only be functioning as a top-notch facility thanks to the exacting standards of excellence of Sacred Heart University, but it also means that a much larger portion of your donation will now go directly to support our community programming and mission, to provide STEM for all!

Special thanks to our sponsors!

Covid-19 Update 😷

Per the recommendation of the Connecticut Department of Public Health, the Discovery Science Center & Planetarium has a universal mask policy until further notice.

All occupants of indoor public and common areas ages 2 and up, including staff and visitors, are required to wear masks, regardless of vaccination status, until further notice.

We appreciate your cooperation.

In the wake of the public health concerns around COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we have augmented cleaning protocols with a specific focus on areas and surfaces with frequent guest contact. Our employees have been trained on best practices for preventing the spread of germs and viruses. In addition, our employees engage in frequent hand washing and encourage guests to do so as well.
