Join us for a full-scale Nerf battle at The Discovery Science Center! The building will be open after hours, with 3 floors of exhibit halls to play in.


-Facemasks required
-BYOB (Bring Your Own Blaster)
-Eye protection required. (will not be provided, glasses qualify)
-Long pants and closed-toed footwear required.
-Foam dart blasters only (no balls or discs).
-All participants must sign a liability waiver.
-No modified blasters. Blasters painted to look like realistic weapons will be banned. Any blaster may be disqualified at the discretion of a safety officer.
-Tactical accessories such as stocks and flashlights are allowed. No foam bayotets!
-Off-brand foam blasters are allowed, but consider the benefits of ammo compatibility.
-No hand-to-hand combat under any circumstances.
-No pistol whipping!
-No alcholic beverages.
-Do not damage any museum exhibits or property.
-Classrooms and offices are off-limits.
-Any unsafe or unsportmanlike conduct can result in expulsion from the game at the discretion of a safety officer, without refund.
-ALL darts must be collected and sorted after each battle.
-Leave with the same number of darts you came with.
-Don’t be a jerk.

This event is restricted to participants age 16 and over. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Light beverages and snacks will be served.

Covid-19 Update 😷

Per the recommendation of the Connecticut Department of Public Health, the Discovery Science Center & Planetarium has a universal mask policy until further notice.

All occupants of indoor public and common areas ages 2 and up, including staff and visitors, are required to wear masks, regardless of vaccination status, until further notice.

We appreciate your cooperation.

In the wake of the public health concerns around COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we have augmented cleaning protocols with a specific focus on areas and surfaces with frequent guest contact. Our employees have been trained on best practices for preventing the spread of germs and viruses. In addition, our employees engage in frequent hand washing and encourage guests to do so as well.
