Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration

Our yearly celebration in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. brings STEM learning fun to children and families in the Bridgeport community and beyond. The day will feature special make-and-take activities, People of the World activity sponsored by 3Dux Design, our annual Peace Wall, planetarium shows, and Science on a Sphere.
Volunteers from Jack & Jill of Eastern Fairfield County will be on hand to help with STEM activities. Friends of the Bridgeport Public Library will be here, giving away and selling books to the community.
Museum activities available throughout the day:
- Archival footage of “I Have a Dream” speech will play in our Energize CT Theater
- “What peace means to me” activity in the lobby
- Make-and-take STEM activities including: origami kites, foldable NASA Beam module, wind socks, and test it by a fan
- Geodesic dome group activity with 3Dux Design connectors in the Energy Garage
Holiday planetarium schedule:
- 11 am – One World One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure
