Rocket Launches with STEM Accelerators participants

If you weren’t able to join us for Space Day on April 2, you can get a glimpse of all the action by visiting the photo gallery on Connecticut Post’s website. You can also see some of our own images from Space Day below.

2,144 visitors came to The Discovery Museum on Saturday for fun with space exploration, including the opening of our new Science on a Sphere exhibit, rocket launches by the Girl Scout Astronomy Club & Discovery Museum’s STEM Ambassadors, Make-&-Takes for Kids with the University of Bridgeport School of Engineering, information and discussion with the Westport Astronomical Society, Meteorite Collection with Astronomical Society of New Haven, along with all our exhibits, live science demos, and a brand new show in the Henry B. duPont III Planetarium.

The Discovery Museum is grateful to the Connecticut Space Grant Consortium and Wells Fargo for their generous sponsorship of this community-favorite event.
