A Fun Fall at Discovery

Thanks to all who joined us for a host of fun events this fall! Starting on October 1st, Discovery hosted a series of special events, including:

• October 1: Explore! Innovate! Play! – a #FREEday of fun hands-on STEM learning fun at the Museum featuring volunteers and free books with Pitney Bowes, Pitney Bowes Foundation, and Reading is Fundamental



• October 15: Aeronautics Day – a great day full of activities and interactive fun related to the science of traveling through the air! Kites, drones, and paper airplane competitions featured volunteers from Sikorsky, kite learning experts and more.
• October 29: Spooktacular – Spooky, ooky, icky fun with tons of kids and families in costume, and an amazing group of volunteers from Sacred Heart University and Fairfield University’s Greek organizations.
• November 5: Harvest Brew Fest – An evening of beer tasting and a chance to learn more about the science behind brewing beer featuring 7 CT breweries and one Bridgeport Food Truck!
