Discovery’s mission is deeply rooted in our history and presence in Bridgeport and Fairfield County. Our work benefits from joint ventures with a dynamic array of community partners, including:

The Adventure Park at Discovery Museum
NOW OPEN FOR THE SEASON! Incorporated into the Discovery campus in 2008, the Adventure Park shares our mission of increasing children’s self-confidence and urge to explore. Through climbing trails and zip line activities, students overcome challenges in a safe and sustainable environment. The Adventure Park has consistently demonstrated its support for Discovery through fundraisers and with generous donations of climbing passes. Discovery members receive one free admission ticket to climb at the Adventure Park.

Barnum Museum
A local historical gem, the Barnum Museum is the last surviving building dedicated to Phineas Taylor Barnum. P.T. Barnum loved learning through engaging, and here at Discovery our goal is to inspire the same wonder through interactive STEM learning opportunities.

Their core program consists of a 9-belt curriculum that teaches kids to code through game building. Discovery members receive a 10% discount at Code Ninjas.

Students visit the Science Center frequently, and the Discovery Magnet School is our main site for implementation of Discover NASA, a grant-funded program dedicated to the development and implementation of a rocketry curriculum for K-8 classrooms, and a high school-level extracurricular rocketry club.
